The Mankala Band have performed at the internationally renowned Jazz World Stage at Glastonbury Festival, the beautiful fields and stages of Shambala, Green Man, Sunrise, Mannifest, Secret Garden, Larmer Tree, Bestival and many more. A grooving force formed by a multicultural collective of versed musicians, The Mankala Band has one common vision: to create Joyous Roots Dance Music! Since it's origins, the band has transformed, adapted and evolved yet has always maintained the original core energy and philosophy... Good vibes produce good music, good music produce good vibes!

Playing a unique style of roots reggae, dub & ska with boundless energy and joy, Diddley Squat take live performance to serious levels and have fully connected with audiences around the UK. They hail from the furthest North of England and express their delight at being able to perform in Bristol. Expect a proper knees up, a joyous performance and lyrics to make you smile and rub your belly at the same time. They write an entrancing mix of songs about camels, treehouses, coming together as one, and fish. With a heavy rhythm section, wild brass, ecstatic keys, sweet guitar melodies.

Merging Grooves Reminiscent of those you might expect to hear on a Marcus Miller or Soulive record with ambient melodies that explore a range of musical styles, The Rich O’Brien Project’s modern blend of Jazz, Funk, Soul and RnB music is one that appeals to astute Listeners and Dance Floor goer’s alike. With the rich Exploration of “Grooves for moves” and soulful melodies characteristic of “Smoke Filled” jazz clubs seen in their debut E.P Frisky, the debut album Hot potato, which is planned for release in July 2012, is one not to be missed.

Bulawayo
The infectious music of Bulawayo, Cecilia Ndhlovu's entrancing mbira thumb-piano and hypnotic and joyous Ndebele and Shona vocals take listeners on an educational journey through Zimbabwean tradition. Driven by classic jit-jive guitar and rolling chimurenga bass matched with the powerful drum patterns of modern Zimbabwe, the classic sound of Bulawayo has arrived.
